Mong Hsu Ruby Mine
This Burmese ruby mines were not active for a long time. Only in 1992 the place east of Mandalay was officially opened by the government for business and that went up exponentially. Within no time 300 companies started mining on 1500 plots.

The others are the Irrawaddy Chindwin Mekong Kaledan and Sittang River plus countless smaller ones. The Mogok Ruby mine tract is further northwest.
From here all ruby stones are thrown into the oven and at Mong Hsu it means all of them.
